Artist, photographer and stylist Heather Ross is known for her wonderful sense of color, keen eye and evocative imagery. Her elegant nature inspired aesthetic is influenced by both her West Coast upbringing in Vancouver and two years spent living and antiquing in Paris, France.

She's a regular contributor as a photographer, stylist and writer to publications such as House & Home and Western Living for which she has been nominated for numerous National Magazine Awards.

A creative force of nature, she has a fine art and design background in painting, printmaking, ceramics and textile design. Her evocative artworks have been placed in numerous feature films and international collections. Her paintings, while abstracted, draw upon the elements of earth, water, air and sky, marking our connections to the seasons, the ephemeral qualities of time and place, and ultimately to our sense of belonging in the world.

In 2001 she opened her own boutique and gallery in Vancouver perfectly situated between the art and antiques area of South Granville and the Armoury Design District. She loves to use natural found objects  in her charming displays and is drawn to simple organic forms and authentic materials. She hand picks all the treasures in her boutique and artfully curates vignettes throughout in her serene signature palette described as 'where the sea meets the shore'.

Her much awaited first book, the natural eclectic: a design aesthetic inspired by nature, launched on March 3rd, 2016 and is now sold out of the 2nd print run.

Heather's beloved brick and mortar gallery/boutique closed in 2019, so she could pursue further dreams of a life closely connected to nature on the Sunshine coast BC where she loves to garden, bake and enjoy time on her rustic acreage with her rescue pup. A true animal lover, she cares about all creatures great and small. She is currently working on her 2nd book.
